It is a truth universally acknowledged that it is much faster to buy books than it is to read them, and there is always so much to read and so little time. Okay, so those are two truths, but you get the point.

In an effort to get back into the habit of reading, I’m daring myself to complete a reading challenge! Yes, I realize that 2015 is almost halfway over (!!), but I figure it’s better late than never.  My personal goal is to check off each of the following boxes before the year is out:

To make the challenge a little more challenging, I’ve created some rules for myself. I must:

  1. Complete the challenge by December 31, 2015
  2. Only read books I own but haven’t read yet (if you know my book-buying habits, this isn’t hard at all)
  3. Each book can only fulfill one category (e.g., reading Pride & Prejudice can satisfy one of the following: a classic romance, a book that became a movie, a book by a female author, a book set in a different country, or a book based on or turned into a TV show)
  4. I must document my progress by writing a review of each book I read

I know it’s a little ambitious, but I’m looking forward to it. Join me!
